911 '69-'73 Front Turnsignal PCB Installation Instructions

The boards are plug-n-play.

  • Remove lens;

  • Remove bulb and clean socket; LEDs draw a lot less current and may not break through oxidation on the socket;

  • Place the board position frame in the housing with feet out towards the board (it positions the board in place). The frame has a notch that matches a small boss in the housing. Slide the frame into the housing on this notch. The notch will keep the frame in place.

  • Loosen the 4 screws so the alignment pins on the pinch clips are flush with the board.

  • Plug the bulb base into the socket.

  • Allow the board to hang and test the board. Place a piece of paper between the board and the housing/chassis so nothing shorts.

  • Test the lights while gently wiggling the wires to make sure the socket is clean and good contact is made. If the light fails to light or flickers, remove the bulb base and clean the socket. Do this for running lights and turnsignals.

  • Turn off power.

  • Manipulate the loose pinch clips so they clear the sides of the housing and push the board into the housing allowing the board to sit squarely on the position frame. The board has grooves that match the small bosses in the housing. Make sure the pigtail wires do not interfere with the frame.
  • Tighten the screws one at a time one full turn each. Keep turning screws one rotation each time until board is secure. Do not over tighten.
  • Test the board again.
  • Replace the lens.
