911 '84-'89 Foglight Installation Instructions

 


INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  • Remove foglight fixture from vehicle.

  • Separate the reflector from the glass lens by bending up 2 tangs on either side of the fixture.

  • Now might be a good time to purchase new glass lenses if the current ones are sandblasted or cracked.

  • The bulb socket and shade must be removed to allow the PCB to sit inside the fixture.

  • The hardware provided includes a set of clips which are inserted into the glass lens fixture.

  • A round jig is provided to ease the removal of the lamp socket and shade.

  • There are 3 bumps holding the bulb socket on the reflector.

  • Sitting the reflector on the jig on the work table, tap each bump one at a time until the socket pops off.

  • Start the installation of the clips with the Tiny clips. These will go in the shallow corner of the lens.

  • The Small clip will go opposite of the Tiny clip.

  • The Tall Bottom clip goes in the deep side adjacent to the Tiny Bottom clip.

  • The Tall Top clip goes in the deep side adjacent to the Small Top clip.

  • The PCB will sit on the clips.

  • The Converter Block component must go on the deep side.

  • Secure the PCB to the clips with supplied #2 3/8 inch screws.

  • It may be helpful to look through the board into a light to align the screws to the holes in the clips.

  • Once secured, close up the lens and reflector. Bend back the tabs to complete the fixture.

  • The RED wire goes to the power connector on the vehicle.

  • The BROWN wire goes to the ground connector on the vehicle.
