Rear Turnsignal (RTS)-Brake Module Installation Instructions

The modules are plug-n-play.

​

There are 6 wires:

Brake In and Out (RED)

Turnsignal In and Out (BLACK) Turnsignal OUT has 2 connectors for the configuration of RTS/Brake + RTS/Brake

Ground In and Out (BROWN)

​

There is one module for each light housing.

​

The wires intercept the OEM wires to the housing.

​

The OEM  wires connect to the male spades; the female spades connect to the housing.

CONFIGURATION 1: RTS/Brake + Brake Only

In this configuration, the rear turnsignal (RTS) light doubles as RTS and brake and the brake light is brake only. See the video for this functionality. 

Remove one wire at a time and connect In and Out wires to the OEM wire and the housing.

Installation Configuration 1: RTS/Brake + Brake only
 

  • There are 2 sizes of heat shrink tubing.
    Small (2 pieces) to cover the OEM turnsignal spades which may not be covered.
    Large (2 pieces) to cover the unused RTS OUT connector from the module.

  • Use the Large heat shrink tubing to cover one of the RTS OUT connectors.

  • Use the Small heat shrink tubing to cover the OEM RTS spade if not covered.

  • Remove one wire at a time and connect In and Out wires to the OEM wire and the housing.​

  • Test the units

  • When completed, tuck the module under the rear light housing as neatly as possible.


CONFIGURATION 2: RTS/Brake + RTS/Brake

In this configuration, the rear turnsignal (RTS) light AND the brake light double as RTS and brake. See the video for this functionality. 

Remove one wire at a time and connect In and Out wires to the OEM wire and the housing.

Installation Configuration 2: RTS/Brake + RTS/Brake
 

  • There are 2 sizes of heat shrink tubing.
    Small (2 pieces) to cover the OEM turnsignal spades which may not be covered.
    Large (2 pieces) to cover the unused RTS OUT connector from the module.

  • Use the Large heat shrink tubing to cover the BRAKE OUT connectors.

  • Use the Small heat shrink tubing to cover the OEM RTS spade if not covered.

  • Remove one wire at a time and connect In and Out wires to the OEM wire and the housing.​

  • Test the units

  • When completed, tuck the module under the rear light housing as neatly as possible.


The turnsignal spade may need insulated. Heat shrink tubing is supplied with the kit.
